Roasty's opened November 2024 at 642 Congress Street in Portland, a counter-service casual eatery focused on regional roast beef sandwiches. Owner Jenn Rockwell — also owner of Ada's Kitchen in Rockland and manager of Main Street Markets — traveled the US taste-testing roast beef sandwiches before opening, and the menu reflects that research: Boston, North Shore, Buffalo (Beef on Weck with horseradish on a jus-dipped caraway seed roll), Chicago (Italian Beef), L.A. (French Dip), New Jersey, and Philadelphia styles, all rare and made with house au jus from braised trimmings. Sides include shoestring fries and house-made chips. A rotating local craft beer lineup rounds out the room. Manager Sean Williams runs the day-to-day. Mon, Wed, Thu, Sun 11am–10pm; Fri–Sat 11am–midnight.
