LyAnna Sanabria's Puerto Rican bar and kitchen in Portland's Old Port — a Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards Top Ten Best New East Cocktail Bar.
Papi is a Puerto Rican bar and kitchen in Portland's Old Port from founder LyAnna Sanabria, who was raised in a Puerto Rican household in Vermont and has been building Portland's elevated Latin bar scene for the last several years. The 19th-century wood-and-wrought-iron doors imported from Old San Juan open onto reggaeton, a vintage fruit-stand icebox, and one of the best cocktail programs in the city — paired with classics like pernil, sorullo cheese fritters, carne estofado, beef empanadas, and tostones from chef Ronnie Medlock. Papi was a Regional Top Ten Honoree for Best New U.S. East Cocktail Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards, and Sanabria appeared in Imbibe magazine's Imbibe 75 list for 2025.
