Bei Capelli is southern Maine's premier salon, opened in 2001 by Nancy Cartonio and Melissa Vigue, now at 300 Roundwood Drive in Scarborough with more than 28 stylists and a robust support team. The room is intentionally upscale-but-unpretentious, with attention paid to décor and background music, and a dark shampoo spa room that regulars cite as a highlight. Services run the full salon range — cuts, color, balayage, dimensional highlights, extensions — plus a new Head Spa offering, bridal hair and makeup, and body treatments. The salon has been featured in Salon Today 200 for four consecutive years and nominated for North American Hairstyling Awards.
