Watami opened September 2025 at 230 Commercial Street in the Old Port, in the former Sapporo space that anchored the waterfront for nearly 40 years before relocating to Falmouth. Owner Kevin Chen's second location for the Brunswick-based Japanese restaurant seats about 80 inside plus 20 on the patio — twice the Brunswick footprint. The menu mirrors the original with house specialty sushi rolls built on unconventional ingredient pairings, plus ramen, poke bowls, hibachi grill dishes, boba teas, and Cuban coffee. Daily 11:30am–9pm with extended hours Friday and Saturday until 9:30pm.
