The Garden Bar — South Portland

The Garden Bar opened its South Portland location July 9, 2025 at 173 Ocean Street in Knightville, in the former Cafe Louis space. Owner Lanai Monahan and Keith Castro launched the original in Biddeford's Pepperell Mill Campus in May 2023 and have built a cult following for fast-casual customizable salads and bowls. The 1,000-square-foot Knightville room — four times the Biddeford footprint — added wraps, steak and fish proteins, tofu and falafel, and pasta as a base option. Twelve signature combinations plus build-your-own from dozens of ingredients, with cold-pressed juices. Daily, 11am–7:30pm.
