Sommelier-led wine bar and shop in downtown Belfast from David Speer (formerly of Portland Oregon's Ambonnay) and Kristin Amundson-Speer, opened spring 2025.
Pulling Corks opened spring 2025 at 31 Pendleton Street in downtown Belfast in a 150-year-old building (former Bellabooks). Owners David Speer and Kristin Amundson-Speer relocated from Portland, Oregon, where David founded the 20-seat champagne bar Ambonnay; Food & Wine named him one of the Best Sommeliers of the Year in 2013. The bar pairs a sommelier-curated, globe-spanning wine list with cheeses, charcuterie, popcorn, olives, and a rotating seasonal wine-friendly supper. The attached shop sells bottles to go. Regular WOW (Wine Opinion Wednesday) and Learn the List tastings build a wine community. Thu–Mon, 4–9pm.
