Wellness-focused 48-key boutique hotel in Portland's West End — Maine-owned, opened 2024, member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, with the Astraea spa, Twinflower Café, and Five of Clubs lounge.
Longfellow Hotel opened in 2024 at 754 Congress Street in Portland's historic West End — the first independent full-service hotel to open in Portland in more than two decades. Maine-based, family-owned Uncommon Hospitality is behind the property, designed by Brooklyn's Post Company in partnership with Portland's Archetype Architects. The 48-key, five-story brick building takes its name from Portland-born poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and weaves wellness into every detail: thick insulation, blackout shades, sound machines, Swans Island wool blankets, dimmable lighting, and rainfall showers. The lobby holds Twinflower Café for breakfast and lunch with an emphasis on local ingredients, and Five of Clubs — an intimate salon-style lounge serving classic cocktails, local beer, Old World wines, and a health-conscious functional and zero-proof menu. The hotel is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
