The Evalina Hotel

The Evalina Hotel opened in May 2026 in the historically renovated Granite Block Building at 215 Commercial Street, on Portland's working waterfront in the Old Port. Named after Evalina Fox, one of the building's earliest owners, the hotel pairs preserved historic architecture with contemporary sophistication and a residential-style experience. Across five floors, its 15 suites — five one-bedroom and ten two-bedroom layouts — are each designed to feel like a private retreat in the city. The Evalina is operated by Portland-based hospitality group Fathom Companies, whose Maine portfolio also includes The Press Hotel and The Brunswick Hotel, and its Commercial Street address places guests steps from the Old Port's cobblestone streets, restaurants, and harbor.
