Stone Fox Creamery

Stone Fox Creamery's Portland mobile scoop shop launched May 2025 at 107 Washington Avenue on the East End. The Portland trailer extends the Searsport-based small-batch ice cream maker founded by Bruce and Kathy Chamberlain (with a production shop at 398 East Main Street in Searsport and a Castine location). Portland innkeeper Stephen Simonds bought the company earlier in 2025. The ice cream emphasizes high butterfat and locally sourced Maine dairy — less air, more cream — with flavors like Wild Maine Blueberry, Salted Caramel, Espresso Bean, and Mint Chocolate Chip. Portland location open daily, noon–8pm.
