Olive Rose Chocolates opened in 2025 in downtown Rockland next to the 250 Main Hotel, a handmade chocolate shop and small cafe with an open production kitchen. The shop turns out caramels, truffles, buttercreams, buttercrunch, fudge, and marshmallow alongside Laughing Moon Chocolates, with coffee and espresso brewed from beans roasted in Blue Hill. A welcome new chocolatier in a Midcoast town already known for confectionery, the shop's open kitchen and seating space have quickly earned it a reputation as a downtown gem and addition to the local creative-economy growth.
