Portuguese-inspired coastal seafood restaurant in Portland's Old Port from Prentice Hospitality Group, sibling to Twelve. Opened October 2025.
Douro opened in October 2025 from Prentice Hospitality Group, the team behind Twelve, located beside its sister restaurant on the Portland Foreside waterfront. The 3,300-square-foot space, designed and built by Woodhull, puts a spotlight on Portuguese-inspired coastal flavors with the kitchen led by chefs Colin Wyatt and Jim Stein, desserts from executive baker Georgia Macon, wines curated by Carrie Nolan, and cocktails from head bartender Matt Im. The menu features fresh fish and shellfish, shareable small plates, and composed entrées highlighting bold, briny flavors — standouts include shrimp chouriço studded with chunks of scallop, roasted oysters with chorizo butter, and pasteis de nata. A 32-bottle wine list offers pours in three sizes.
